ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO LOCAL CUSTODIANS The area that we refer collectively to as the Central Victorian Uplands encompasses the country of the Wurundjeri, Taungurung and Dja Dja Wurrung nations, the traditional owners of the region. We pay our respects and acknowledge the vital role of the local custodians in caring for the places where we are privileged to live and work. We acknowledge the significance of white settlement and the events of the gold-rush on Indigenous ancestors past and present and hope to learn more about our Indigenous history and contemporary culture.
