River House – Luxe Riverside Retreat!

SLEEPS 6  |  INFINITY Pool  |  Tennis court  |  private river frontagE

The River House is a boutique villa retreat located in Lauriston, seven minutes from Kyneton, twenty five minutes from Daylesford and just over an hour from Melbourne. River House is a beautifully appointed modern house on 2 acres with private river frontage and bushland hills behind.

A series of glass pavilions and beautifully landscaped gardens created by Frogmore Nursery in Blackwood make for the perfect place for rest and contemplation. The infinity pool, butterfly chairs and tennis court add to it feeling like a pampered resort or wellness retreat. The house is perfect for a couple wanting to live like the Jones’ for a weekend or can be easily shared with up to six people (yet still feel very, very spacious).

Please note, River House is not suitable for children, due to the open river frontage. River House is also not available for events and our permit does not allow for this.

Inside Flop House have brought their design fairy dust to the house with contemporary art, luxurious bed linen and modern European furniture. No aspect of guest comforts has been overlooked, from the quality of the bedding and bathrobes to the supply of luxury body products and Larson & Thomson teas.

To make guest’s feel grounded Flop House provides their signature breakfast hamper with locally sourced products.

Flop House provides a range of “in-house” services at River House. An exclusive dine in menu can be arranged through Daylesford based caterer, Daisy Dining. Daisy can stay and serve or exit discretely, leaving easy to follow preparation instructions.

A “massage and wellness” menu is offered to River House guests. Trained massage therapists can provide remedial or relaxation massage indoors or out depending on the weather. Restorative Yoga is available on request for groups of two or more. Recreational pursuits are catered for in the form of tennis rackets, fishing rods, bikes and picnic baskets. A walk to the reservoir at sunset with the neighbourhood wallabies is a delight.

The only problem will be finding time to leave!

Minimum two-night stay on weekends.
