DAY 1 ————— Friday 23rd December

Garden of St Erth and

Whipstick Loop Walk

During the Gold Rush, the site was a town of 13,000 people and feverish activity. Here you can browse a wide range of incredible edibles, hardy perennials and shrubs and stock up on the full range of Diggers heirloom seeds for the vegetable and flower garden. Enjoy a coffee and lunch at the cafe on site before or after you embark on the Whipstick Loop Walk. Along the way keep your eyes peeled for relics of the old gold mines that date back to the mid-1800s.

DAY 2 ———— Saturday 24th December

Trentham Falls and

Red Beard Bakery

Pack a basket of goodies from the historic Red Beard Bakery and head to Trentham Falls. Surrounded by lush bushland, the moss-covered falls are located in the Coliban River Scenic Reserve, which protects original vegetation including manna gum, messmate, narrow-leaved peppermint and spring wildflowers. For the best views of the falls, take the easy walk from the carpark to the viewing area. (There is no access to the top or base of the falls, due to unstable and steep cliffs.)

DAY 3 ———— Sunday 25th December

Christmas Lunch at

The Oaks

Take the stress out of what should be a relaxing day and let the good folks at The Oaks in Kyneton do all the hard work for you. You can expect a traditional four course Australian Christmas lunch featuring fresh seafood, meats and vegetarian, along with matched wines from local producers Passing Clouds and Bress. Click here for more info on this event and to book.

DAY 4 ———— Monday 26th December

DAY 5 ———— Tuesday 27th December

Domino Rail Trail and

Picnic

The 6km one-way journey takes you through the beautiful Wombat State Forest that was once under threat from miners and loggers. Discover the history and ecology of this area from the interpretive boards along the trail. This walk will take approximately 3 hours to complete the return journey. Why not stop off at either end of the trail and enjoy a picnic box from our favourite Daylesford Picnic Boxes or Piper Street Food Co.

DAY 6 —— Wednesday 28th December

Relax and Rejuvenate

Melt away any all the left over festive stress with a healing massage at our favourite sanctuary Maiaveda. Experience authentic Ayurvedic spa therapies and wellness programs - integrating ancient holistic healing systems intent on restoring physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Leave feeling honoured and fully rejuvenated.

DAY 7 —— Thursday 29th December

Daylesford Cider Company

Daylesford Cider Company produce a range of craft ciders predominantly using select heritage cider apples grown organically on the farm. The English-style Tavern cellar-door, set in landscaped gardens next to the organic North orchard, is a 17 minute drive from Trentham.
