The 15th annual Woodend Winter Arts Festival brings together Australian and international artists, performers, authors and commentators for the Macedon Ranges' premier arts festival.
For more than 15 years the Woodend Winter Arts Festival has brought together acclaimed Australian and international talent with the music, literary and arts community of the stunning Macedon Ranges over the June (Queen’s Birthday) long weekend. The result is a world-class showcase of vibrant, traditional and thought-provoking performances and events in the heart of one of Victoria’s best food and wine regions.
The Woodend Winter Arts Festival was the brainchild of locals Artistic Director Jacqueline Ogeil and Committee President John O’Donnell, themselves acclaimed classical musicians with international reputations. A committee was established in 2004 to organise the first Festival in 2005 and has continued each Queen’s Birthday long weekend since.
With a range of concerts, literary, community events and salons, this year's Festival will have something for all ages and interests. Free exhibitions and the opening night fireworks are enjoyed by the entire community and provide a fantastic way to support local community organisations.
All this just one hour from Melbourne in the beautiful Macedon Ranges. Full program details will be revealed in late March 2019.
