Starting in the very pretty town of Creswick we fuelled up at the Le Peche Gourmand Bakery, a must do even if you aren't walking, we walked to Slaty Creek picnic ground and back. Along the way we passed "Blue Waters" an eerie blue lagoon caused by mining in the gold rush days. The rest of the walk was through scrubby gums and ended at a picnic area that was fairly well populated for a Tuesday. Was an easy stroll without many hills. Would be possible to do the walk as part of an overnight adventure. Dinner and a pale ale at the Farmer's Arms, Creswick was an excellent way to finish the walk!
