“We cannot thank you enough for our wonderful stay at Charter Farm. The moment we arrived on the property everything was just perfect. The presentation of the house, the fresh linen and towels and the very scrumptious breakfast items. It really made us feel welcome. Thank you!

A big thank you also to Lance (the sheep farmer) for including us all in the herding and docking/castrating of the lambs. It was an incredible experience.  Thank you also to Graeme for popping in to say hello. It was lovely to meet him.

We had a lovely day trout fishing and caught an abundance! We thought the Charter Farm team would like some so we have frozen them, wrapped them in plastic and put them in the back freezer - enjoy!

We will always think fondly of our time at Charter Farm. Thanks again”

  • Glenluce is a small goldfields town that still has remnants of its mining days, natural springs and walking tracks.

  • No public transport to the house.

  • • Take the Calder towards Bendigo. Take the Malmsbury exit. Drive through Malmsbury shops and turn left at the green sign with the C316 road to Daylesford. 3.5km along the Daylesford Road take a RIGHT turn at Vaughan Springs Road. There is a large brown tourist sign on the left “Vaughan Mineral Springs” and on the post with the street sign (which is also on the left of the road) there is a blue sign “Charter Farm” Follow the Vaughan Springs road for 11km until it becomes a well maintained dirt road (Vaughan Springs Road turns into Drummond Vaughan Road once you hit Glenluce).

    • Charter Farm is nearly 2km along the dirt road. You turn right into the driveway. If coming at night, a Charter Farm sign will be illuminated. If the road turns to bitumen again you know you have gone too far so turn around and drive back down to the base of the hill.

    • There is a large dam immediately on the right of the driveway. If arriving at night, please ensure you stay on the driveway track given the dam to the right and further along on the left is a drop off which at certain times of the year can be disguised by long grass. Follow the drive for about 200m.
